Harding Motor Company, trading as Hardings of Parkgate, is a family-owned dealership established in 1993 by Steve Harding. Based on Boathouse Lane in Parkgate, near Neston, the company has remained at its original location for more than three decades. Several members of its team have been with the business since its early years, reflecting a continuity of experience rarely found in the motor trade.

Rather than specialising in a particular manufacturer, Hardings has traditionally concentrated on low-mileage cars with one previous private owner and comprehensive service records. Its selection ranges from compact city cars to larger family vehicles, with models from Toyota, Honda, Ford, Volkswagen and other manufacturers. The company has also developed a vehicle sourcing service, using its relationships with main dealers and industry suppliers to locate cars matching individual customer requirements.

An important part of Hardings is its own service department, which operates alongside the vehicle showroom. The premises include a fully equipped workshop and MOT testing facilities, allowing the business to maintain and repair vehicles independently of its sales operation. With an established customer base extending beyond the Wirral to other parts of Britain, Hardings has built its identity around vehicle provenance, mechanical expertise and long-term ownership relationships.
